COMPANY MISSION
As founders of the Japan Hair Beauty Association it
has been our mission, for over 40 years, to
continuously educate aestheticians in the health and
beauty industry. Our hair and skin care product lines
are distributed to our extensive network of member
salons as well as hospitals throughout Japan.
Additionally, we have expanded our reach on a global
level to continue to impact the industry by providing
a forum for education and superior product for our
customers.

COMPANY HISTORY
1962
* Established the Japan Hair Research Group - first in the industry in Japan.
* Published SKIN AND BEAUTY – health and beauty magazine.
1964
* Developed the HAIR GROWTH STEAM TREATMENT - a new treatment for alopecia.
1966
* Founded the Japan Hair Science Association (formerly the Japan Hair Research Group) - structured the organization as an academic group which educates aestheticians in health and beauty as it relates to hair and skin care.
* Established the Nihon Hair Supply business entity for the launch of the LAISO-S hair growth product and SUN HAIR CREAM product.
1967
· Founded Nihon Hair Supply Inc.
· Launched the CONDITIONING SHAMPOO product.
1970
* Launched the LAISO TREATMENT CREAM hair care product.
1971
* Founded the Japan Hair Growth Research Center Inc. providing a forum for the study of alopecia, its causes and treatments, and training for aestheticians to provide clients with hair growth treatment options.
1975
* Published the article Research Findings on Treating Alopecia with LAISO S STEAMER, co-authored by Dr. Nakamizo, professor and dermatologist at Kyushu University and Hot Spring Therapy Institute.
1976
* 10th anniversary Special event: Hair Shows held in Tokyo and Osaka. Mr. Lawrence Iwasaki, a Canadian hair styling champion was the main speaker.
* Launched LAISO F, LAISO SS and LAISO SHAMPOO.
1977
* Five year clinical study on alopecia reported to Japan Skin Academic Conference
* Launched the SUNHAIR BRUSHING LOTION.
1978
* Held first aesthetic and medical seminar abroad in Hawaii.
* Held first aesthetic and medical seminar in Atami city.
* Research article on treating complete alopecia with LAISO S and STEAMER TREATMENT submitted to the Japan Skin Science Journal written by Dr. Nakayama, M.D. et al., Department of Dermatology, Chuo Hospital, Saiseikai
1979
* Research article on findings from treating alopecia areata with LAISO S and STEAMER TREATMENT, co-authored by Dr. Nakamizo, professor and dermatologist at Kyushu University, Hot Spring Therapy Institute, published in the West Japan Dermatology journal.
1980
* Inauguration of the Yoyogi Clinic of Dermatology at the Hair Growth Treatment Institute.
1981
* Research article on findings from treating alopecia areata with FUK, a newly discovered ingredient extracted from plant, published in the West Japan Dermatology journal.
* LAISO Hair Shows held in seven major cities to commemorate the company’15th Anniversary at which Mr. Lawrence Iwasaki was a special guest.
1982
* Launched LAISO PROTEIN SHAMPOO and TONING CONDITIONER.
* Steamer Therapy as a Hair Growth Treatment for Barbers and Beauticians published, co-authored by Kazutaka Yayama and Takeo Sudoh.

* May: relocation of Osaka sales hub to the city of Kyoto to manage sales for the western region of the nation.
